Sunday, January 17, 2021 @ 10:00 am – Free Produce Box Giveaway
East Hollywood Neighborhood Council, Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell’s Office, and Children’s Hospital are continuing their partnership with Rick’s Produce Market to give away fresh produce boxes to East Hollywood stakeholders.
Location: Rick’s Produce Market (Parking Lot), 755 N. Virgil Ave, LA, CA 90027)
- Boxes are distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. Please line up early to ensure you get a box.
- Limit one box per household.
- We are invested in the safety of our community – please wear a mask and maintain social distance while waiting in line.

LA City Councilmember Gil Cedillo, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, Exodus Recovery, and The Shower of Hope have launched their Safe Parking Program in Glassell Park and Westlake.

Cal fresh benefits have temporarily been increased by 15% from January 2021 to June 2021. If you’re already a Cal Fresh recipient, check your EBT balance on Sunday, February 7th for extra benefits for the months of January and February. Have questions? Call the LA County Department of Public Services at 866-613-3777.
Do you live or know someone who lives in the City of South Pasadena? If so, please make note of this program.
The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (EARP) will provide residents who have lost income due to COVID-19 and meet federal low-income requirements with a one-time grant of $1,000.
To be considered for the grant, applicants must first submit the eligibility form included in the application packet before the application deadline. The City will review these forms to determine eligibility.
The application deadline has been EXTENDED to FEBRUARY 1, 2021. Applications may be submitted via email (ERAP@southpasadenaca.gov) or in person by calling (626) 491-3869 and scheduling an appointment.
